Everything is energy. Science has confirmed the presence of energy and that this energy permeates and fills the vast universe. All things are infused with energy. The word “Reiki” is a combination of two Japanese words, “rei” means higher power or spiritual consciousness, and “Ki” means life force energy. Reiki, as a whole, is a spiritually guided life energy.
Our ancestors used energy to heal themselves and others, and it is this concept that other practices were introduced and are widely used today to help balance energy inside our bodies, such as acupuncture, yoga, meditation, reiki, breathwork, and sound healing.
Energy is needed in our bodies. Energy is vital for our body’s functioning and for building and repairing our cells and tissues.
We must understand that we are born with a natural ability to heal ourselves. Our body is created to take care of itself and heal itself …. all it needs is energy. Our tissue cells are made of energy, and if deprived of energy, diseases happen…all it needs is energy to regenerate and heal.
In the universe, everything vibrates constantly, and everything that vibrates releases energy. Scientifically speaking, similar to our body, our thoughts and behaviour have their vibration frequency. We must constantly be self-aware to raise our vibration to attract good things.
Reiki, or the use of energy to heal, is available to everyone. Reiki energy is infinite. One only needs to believe in it, set the intention, and surrender, allowing the energy to flow inside their body.
Remember, Reiki is not new. It’s been traditionally used to heal. Moreover, several studies and research have proven additional benefits of regularly practicing reiki as relaxation to reduce stress and anxiety.
One of the tremendous benefits of reiki is relaxation and reducing stress. The stress we face, the memories and beliefs we store, and the experiences we are exposed to all accumulate in our body, causing blockages within our cells, which stop the flow of energy and cause imbalance. Reiki helps release these blockages within our body cells, allowing the energy to flow freely and bringing balance to our energy for our cells to begin functioning normally. Healing occurs physically, emotionally, and mentally.
How does it work
Reiki practitioners don’t use their energy but their hands to deliver (conduit) energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support relaxation and healing. Reiki energy comes from above (universe) and enters the top of the practitioner’s head, after which it flows through the partitioner’s body and out their hands to you. The reiki partitioner hand can be placed just above your body (recipient) or might involve a gentle touch on various areas of the body to allow the flow of energy and relaxation. Energy is drawn in by you and will flow to areas in your body where it is needed.
Reiki practitioner releases energy from their hands with more significant biomagnetic reading (7- 10Hz- theta and alpha range), which is higher than non-practitioner. Reiki practitioners tune themselves into the frequency of reiki energy (universe infinite energy). These body magnetic fields can be measured with magneto cardiograms and magnetic encephalograms, which can indicate what’s happening in the body, energy-wise.
When the reiki practitioner comes together with you (recipient), both of you tend to vibrate in harmony, and the weaker vibrating one adjusts to the higher vibration. In other words, the reiki practitioner who is tuned into higher frequency transfers higher vibrations to you, thus raising the vibration of your energy.
There are many additional benefits of Reiki. It helps reduce worry and anxiety and reduce or eliminate physical illness. Following a Reiki session, allowing yourself some time and space within a tranquil environment is essential to reap the full benefits of the treatment. Drinking plenty of water and avoiding stressful activities such as watching the news or media can further help protect your aura.
Remember that with reiki ……
you need to set the intention,
trust, surrender,
and let the energy flow.
